Economic Outlook
Join HCEDP for the 2026 Economic Outlook, featuring keynote speaker Mark A. Wynne, vice president and associate director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. With more than three decades of Federal Reserve experience, Wynne brings deep expertise in fiscal policy, global economic trends, inflation, and the forces driving U.S. and Texas growth.
Wynne has advised the Dallas Fed president ahead of FOMC meetings, led the Bank’s international economics group, and published widely in leading academic and Federal Reserve journals. He has also taught at major universities and is a member of several prestigious economic and foreign relations organizations.
The event will also include a panel of business and policy leaders discussing the state of the economy, workforce, capital investment, and regional competitiveness in 2026. Don’t miss HCEDP’s signature annual event providing clarity, context, and insights for the year ahead.

The Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership is preparing for its 12th Annual Innovation Summit.
This year's event will bring together leaders from industry, education, government, and economic development to explore the future of aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, and emerging technologies across the Texas Innovation Corridor.
Headlining the event is Congressman Michael Cloud, who will deliver keynote remarks on the growing role of Texas in national defense, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and innovation. His perspective will provide valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing communities and industries as they compete in an increasingly technology-driven economy.
Following the keynote, attendees will participate in a moderated discussion with Congressman Cloud before hearing from a distinguished panel representing education, industry, and public policy. Together, they will examine the workforce, infrastructure, regulatory, and innovation challenges shaping the future of aerospace and defense in Central Texas.
As investment continues to accelerate across the Austin-San Antonio corridor, the summit will highlight the partnerships and strategies needed to support industry growth, strengthen talent pipelines, and position the region as a destination for next-generation aerospace and defense companies.
The event will also feature the presentation of the Dick Burdick Innovation Award, recognizing a company in Hays or Caldwell County that has demonstrated exceptional creativity and innovation in solving complex challenges.
